The Grange Community Centre’s Kay Webster and Karen Cain (pictured) have needles poised ready for learn-to-knit classes for beginners at the centre this Saturday. It is one of five workshops over winter designed to get people out of the house and learning new skills. Saturday’s knitting class is from 2-4pm and will help beginners keen to start knitting but not sure where to begin. Ms Cain said the classes would be fun and creative. There will also be classes in henna design on July 18, Thai cooking on August 1 and card-making on August 15. The centre is at 260-280 Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing. Places are limited so booking is essential.
