Staff, pupils and families from Baden Powell College celebrated cultural diversity in a creative way last week. The Hoppers Crossing and Tarneit campuses of the school joined with Rotary and community groups for an event titled Diversity is Our Strength on Friday. A “longest lunch” and “longest dinner” took place at the schools, with food from different nations. Students dressed in traditional clothing from around the world and talked about their family histories. Cultural performances and dancing also took place. Throughout last week, which was Education Week, the college’s pupils learned about life in other countries and languages from across the globe.
