Armed robbery investigation continues

Police have released CCTV footage as the investigation into an armed robbery at a jewellery store, located within the Pacific Werribee shopping centre, continues.

A man parked a grey Mazda 3 SP23 sedan outside the Heaths Road shopping centre about 5pm on May 22, before entering the centre.

The man entered the jewellery shop carrying a hammer, smashed open a display cabinet and stole an amount of jewellery.

A female customer confronted the man and seized the hammer, before throwing it in his direction as he ran from the shop.

The man was last seen driving along Heaths Road.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives are still looking for the offender and vehicle.

Police have released CCTV footage of the vehicle they would like to locate and a man they would like to speak to, in relation to the armed robbery.

The man is described as being of medium build, with a fair complexion and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket and trousers, with grey or white sports shoes.

Anyone who has seen the vehicle or can identify the man police would like to speak to is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
