Wanna be a rock star? Comedian Tessa Waters has you covered.
She’ll be hosting a How to be a Rock Star school holiday event in Werribee next week.
Expect high-energy fun, air guitar, awesome dance moves and hit song lyrics – that’s the word from Wyndham arts, culture and heritage portfolio holder Tony Hooper.
“Part disco, part rock star training school, kids will learn all the moves to set the floor alight and walk out feeling like a star,”
Cr Hooper said.
“Tessa will also be hosting a workshop, for young people aged six and over, with a strong body positive message.”
A show titled Super Amazing Giant Girl will also be staged as part of the council’s school holiday program and starring Anna Lumb.
“This promises to be an action-packed show of thrilling circus, absurd comedy and ingenious physical theatre,” Cr Hooper said. “Anna will also be hosting a special hands-on workshop for kids with hula hoops, bottle balancing and basic acrobatics.”
How to be a Rock Star will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 3, and 10.30am and 1pm on Wednesday, April 4, at Wyndham Cultural Centre, 177 Watton Street, Werribee.
The Super Amazing Giant Girl will be held at 10.30am and 1.30pm on Thursday, April 5, and 11am on Friday, April 6.
