Ambulance involved in Werribee collision

Two paramedics have sustained minor injuries when the ambulance they were travelling in collided with another vehicle in Werribee this morning.

Ambulance Victoria group manager Michael Georgiou said the paramedics were on their way to an emergency call when they were involved in a collision with another car at the corner of Synnot Street and Duncans Road around 8am.

“The paramedics got out to assess the other driver, who wasn’t taken to hospital,” Mr Georgiou said.

The paramedics had minor injuries and were taken to Werribee Mercy Hospital as a precaution.

Another ambulance responded to the original call.
