Police arrested a man in Werribee on Thursday following the recovery of an allegedly stolen vehicle.
The man was arrested at a property, believed to be on Anderson Street, at about 4pm on April 11, after the allegedly stolen vehicle was recovered at 2.45pm.
After searching the surrounding area with support from the police air-wing, officers forced their way into the Anderson Street property by kicking a door down.
Once inside they arrested the 36-year-old Hoppers Crossing man who was subsequently charged with recklessly causing injury, aggravated assault of a female, assault with weapon, theft of a motor vehicle and other related offences.
