Police are investigating an alleged assault at Werribee railway station on Sunday.
Between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, an 18-year-old man was allegedly hit a number of times by another man, who left the scene soon afterwards.
Police said it is believed the two men were known to each other.
The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
