Police have re-released the image of a Hoppers Crossing man last seen 24 years ago, in the hope that he can finally be located.

Selman (Sam) Mala was last seen by family members on June 28, 2000 at his Westmeadows Lane home.

The 37-year-old was picked up by a vehicle, believed to be a 1978 – 1982 Ford Fairlane, by two unknown males and two unknown females.

He packed some belongings and told family he was heading to Adelaide, in a bid to avoid an upcoming court appearance.

Mr Mala has not been heard of or seen since that day and there are no known possible sightings.

Originally believing he had moved to Adelaide, Mr Mala’s family reported him missing in 2004 following a number of years with no contact.

Since 2004, police have made numerous appeals for information in relation to Sam’s disappearance, however he is yet to be located.

Mr Mala is described as being 178 centimetre tall with a thin build, short brown hair and green eyes.

Police are hoping by re-released an image of Mr Mala in the hope someone may recognise him and are encouraging anyone with information on his whereabouts or who he was associating with in June 2000, to contact them.
