A new $4 million park and wetland in Williams Landing, Addison Park and Wetland, will be officially opened next week.
The Airmaid Drive park includes five hectares of green space, a 3815 square metre community park with playground equipment, walking and running paths, fitness stations, barbecue facilities and seating areas.
The aviation-themed playground includes a jungle gym, swing set and rope course.
Seven ponds surround the parkland and a viewing jetty extends into the waters of the southernmost pond.
Cedar Woods state manager Lloyd Collins said the park and wetlands complemented “the broader natural beauty and abundance of open space already available” in Williams Landing.
An official opening to mark the completion of the Addison Park and Wetland will be held from noon-3pm on Saturday, October 19.
