A snapshot of Wyndham

The Werribee River Association has invited residents to submit images of Wyndham’s beautiful natural and outdoor sites to a photo competition.

The Iconic Photos of Wyndham competition is open to all people who live, work or study in Wyndham.

The competition features prize categories including: iconic landscapes and/or waterways in Wyndham; Wyndham birdlife; and a photo that tells a story, located in outdoor space in Wyndham.

Entries into this last section must include a few words to describe the story related to the picture.

Last year the Werribee River Association held a Nature in Wyndham photo competition, which attracted over 150 entrants who submitted 850 photos in total.

Competition organiser Lisa Field said: “Werribee South featured in a large number of the photos submitted, capturing the incredible birdlife, beach scenes and estuary.

“K Road cliffs featured, and one of our winners was a beautiful drone shot of this part of Werribee River.

“We are also keen to engage business sponsors for the photo competition, as this project really does offer positive community engagement and promotion over the next few months.”

Entrants in the Iconic Photos of Wyndham competition can upload up to five photos per category, using images the prize categories as creative prompts. Three prizes of $250 each will be awarded. Entries to the competition will close on September 1.

Email entries to comps@werribeeriver.org.au and include your full name, address and phone number, and indicate which category you wish to enter each photo in

Business inquiries can be emailed to lisa.field@werribeeriver.org.au
