The Bible will get a musical makeover next week when Westbourne Grammar School students take to the stage for Children of Eden.
The two-act musical will be performed at the Wyndham Cultural Centre from May 21-23 and is based on stories from the Book of Genesis, following Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel and Noah and his ark.
Students across the junior and senior schools are taking part, both on stage and behind the scenes in stage management, lighting, sound and sets.
The musical, which boasts a score by composer Stephen Schwartz of Wicked, Pippin and Godspell fame, had its professional premiere at the Melbourne Recital Centre in 2013.
The script and score have been specially edited by Aaron Joyner, in collaboration with Mr Schwartz, for the Westbourne Grammar production.
Tickets are $8 and can be bought at www.wyncc.com.au or by calling 8734 6000.
