Wyndham council has launched a new marketing push to promote Werribee city centre and East Werribee employment precinct as the “capital of Melbourne’s new west”.
The Grow Werribee campaign will target developers, businesses and investors, with the aim of securing new enterprises and businesses. It includes a promotional film highlighting the area’s advantages.
Council’s economic development portfolio holder Intaj Khan said attracting new investment was critical.
“The Werribee city centre has enormous potential to grow and both precincts provide unique opportunities for developers, investors and businesses,” Cr Khan said.
“The Grow Werribee campaign aims to bring these opportunities and Werribee’s attractions to the attention of the business world.”
Cr Khan said both the city centre and the East Werribee employment precinct offered more than 900 hectares of land for development.
“Werribee is one of Australia’s fastest growing centres,” he said.
“We’re investing in the river and park precinct to create a focal point. Our vision is to create a lively river-front city”.
