Police on the hunt for Wyndham armed robbers

Police are still looking for two men who terrorised a cashier and a convenience store worker in two unrelated armed robberies in Wyndham last month.

The first robbery was on February 12 at a Point Cook Woolworths supermarket in the Featherbrook shopping centre where the offender fled with cash and cigarettes.

He entered the premises about 8.40am with a knife hidden in his sleeve and demanded money from a cashier.

He’s described as being of Islander descent, about 180 centimetres tall, with a solid build and aged in his mid-20s. He wore a white hoodie with black T-shirt over the top, black cap, grey pants and black thongs.

The second armed robbery was in the early hours of February 26.

This offender went to a 7-Eleven on Synnot Street, Werribee, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the attendant’s head while demanding cash.

He was handed some money and told the attendant to open all doors for him so as to not leave fingerprints.

The man is described as Caucasian, aged 20-25, slim and about 183 centimetres tall. He was wearing blue jeans, a light grey hoodie and socks but no shoes, and had a black shirt covering his face.

Police believe there are four other offenders involved in the second robbery.
