Roo boys do rounds of Wyndham for community camp

North Melbourne players, including Robbie Tarrant, Lachie Hansen and Max Warren, caught up with Werribee Mercy Hospital patient Albert as part of their visit to Wyndham for an AFL Community Camp last week.

Over two days, the Kangaroos spent time at 10 schools, an aged-care centre and Werribee Men’s Shed and held a footy superclinic attended by more than 350 children at Chirnside Park.

Some players, including Brent Harvey, Scott Thompson and Michael Firrito, came up close and personal with animals at Werribee Open Range Zoo, while others went tenpin bowling at Wyncity Superbowl in Point Cook. It’s the first time an AFL community camp has been held in Wyndham, and it’s the only one in Melbourne so far this year.

The Kangaroos have been affiliated with VFL club Werribee since 2008.
