Werribee hoon workmates lose their vehicles

Two Werribee workmates lost their vehicles for a month after being caught travelling at more than double the speed limit in Hoppers Crossing on September 10.

The pair, both 29, were clocked at 109km/h in a 50km/h zone on Industrial Drive.

They had their vehicles impounded on the spot and were charged on summons to face court on speed-related offences.

Two days earlier on the Princes Freeway at Werribee, Wyndham highway patrol officers clocked an 18-year-old P-plater from Queensland at 154km/h in a 100km/h zone.

His car was impounded for 30 days and he will also face court charged with speeding-related offences.
