Disability support group Mambourin has won one of Australia’s top awards for workplace excellence.
Mambourin received an Australian Disability Enterprises Excellence Award earlier this month for its dedication to improving the lives of people living with a disability.
The organisation helps its clients find work across the western suburbs, ranging from packing and assembly jobs to light manufacturing and garden maintenance.
Some of its workers are employed by Sanctuary Lakes, where they help maintain the resort’s grounds.
Mambourin chief executive Rohan Braddy said the award was recognition of the hard work the supported employees do every day.
“Our teams are so enthusiastic about what they do and put 100 per cent in every day they’re at work,” he said.
“If anyone is not feeling great or needs a friend to speak to, the workplace environment is such that they can feel comfortable asking for help.”
