TARNEIT MP Tim Pallas heard about Baden Powell College students’
quest to collect books for Cambodian children during a stint as the
school’s principal last Wednesday.
Pallas was one of many community
leaders who gave up their time to take a closer look at schools as part
of a national initiative to strengthen links between educators and the
community.
He met with student leaders, including the school’s Earlyact
group which works with Wyndham’s Rotary clubs.
The group of grade 6
students is collecting books to send to schools in Cambodia through
Rotary’s Donations in Kind program.
