IN FOCUS: Many reasons why locals love ‘Tigers’

Started in 2001 to support the Werribee Football Club and ensure its longevity in the VFL, Tigers Clubhouse has grown to be an award-winning venue, thanks to the support of the local community.

With awards ranging from best club and best club entertainment to best refurbishment, it’s no surprise Tigers Clubhouse is doing so well.

Tigers Clubhouse membership offers discounts on food and beverages, the ever-popular buy-one-get-one-free meal deal on Mondays and birthday rewards, as well as discounts to shows and events, members rewards and promotions.

Free live entertainment is another reason locals love Tigers Clubhouse.

Tribute shows and morning melodies have become permanent fixtures on the calendars of many locals, as “Tigers” is a true community venue that brings locals together.

Tigers Clubhouse general manager Rhys New says the bistro is open every day for lunch and dinner and has a children’s outdoor playground.

“We offer a senior’s menu, children’s menu and nightly meal-deal specials and have a great functions department,” he says. “Hosting your function with us is stress-free and the food is great.

“And with Christmas coming up, it’s the perfect venue for Christmas functions”.

The Sports Bar contains full TAB and Sky Channel facilities and there are several large screens for sitting back and watching major sports events.

“It also has pool tables and arcade games for everyone’s enjoyment,” Rhys says.

“It is great fun for the whole family.”

Rhys says “Tigers” boasts the largest poker venue in the state, with poker tournaments – held on Wednesday and Thursday nights, as well as Saturday afternoons – eagerly enjoyed.

“It is a good pastime to get involved in if you’ve never done it before,” he says. “It’s a great hobby, and we are always encouraging locals to give it a go.”

With live entertainment every Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Sunday afternoons, there is always something going on at “Tigers”.

“The team at the Tigers Clubhouse maintains an environment where you will be entertained, experience exceptional service and have a great time.”
