IN FOCUS: Dental care for the community

Doctor Rashi Gupta, a dentist for more than 18 years, says that taking care of the oral health needs of any community is vital.

So when she opened Sayers Dental Aesthetics and Implants in Hoppers Crossing last year, she invested heavily in state-of-the-art equipment and services to ensure every dental service needed is in one place.

“Our practices offer everything, from dental implants and general check-ups to X-rays and orthodontics. We even use sleep dentistry, which can be great for those needing multiple procedures,” Dr Gupta says.

Dr Gupta says sleep dentistry can be a good option for young children who need fillings.

“Some young children will not sit still or are very fearful, for a variety of reasons,” she says.

“When there are cavities to fix, if they are not cleaned properly before the procedure, the fillings will not stick, so sometimes sleep dentistry is a great option for young school-aged children.”

Dr Gupta has owned a dental surgery in Geelong since 2011 and managed to completely turn that practice around to what she believes is one of the best digital practices in Geelong.

The Geelong surgery offers Cerec (same-day crowns) 3D and digital X-rays. She will provide the same excellent dentistry, at a reasonable cost, at her new practice in Hoppers Crossing.

“At both practices, we have a special interest in implants, orthodontics and smile rejuvenation via veneers, crowns and bridges while also dealing with unexpected dental emergencies – everyone’s dread.”

Dr Gupta takes pride in her work and provides treatments that are effective and permanent.

“How many times have people lost a filling soon after it’s done?” she asks.

“Not anymore. We take responsibility for providing excellent work.”

Dr Gupta notes that children may be eligible for free dental services.

“Parents should check to see if their child is eligible for $1000 via the Child Dental Benefit Schedule.

“We believe everyone deserves excellent quality dentistry and our goal is to help patients achieve this. We encourage people to come and meet us and discover the standards we set.”
