Have you organised your flu vaccinations yet?
With flu season getting into full swing, Our Medical Home in Williams Landing is offering free flu shots.
The new medical centre opened for business just two days ago, with the flu shot offer complementing a strong commitment to good health in the community from the six GPs practising at the centre.
Practice manager Sharon Elves is urging people to come in as soon as possible because vaccinations can take a couple of weeks to be effective.
“And the medical community is reporting a higher incidence of flu this year already,” she says.
“There’s no need to make an appointment for whatever your need.
“Just walk in and you can see the next available or your preferred doctor.”
Another amazing offer in support of Our Medical Home’s opening is a free dental check-up, clean and fluoride treatment – available until July 31.
“We have a full dental clinic on site,” Sharon says.
“If you have children 17 or younger, ask our dental team if you’re eligible for $1000 worth of free dental treatments from the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.”

As well as bulk-billing GPs and the dental clinic, the centre has pathology, radiology and allied health services on site.
Who are Our Medical Home’s doctors?
There are Dr Scott Stinson, Dr Dhandapani Ponraj and Dr Parik Shekarappa, popular GPs from Werribee; Dr Jim Ristevski who practised in Epping and husband-and-wife team Dr Shirin Anbarjafari and Dr Roozbeh Jamshidi, whose practice was in Cranbourne.
“We invite residents from Williams Landing and surrounding areas to come in and meet – or reintroduce themselves to – our wonderful team,” Sharon says.
“The clinic is an impressive new asset in the area and we want to show off everyone and everything!”
