With spring just around the corner, volunteers are busy tidying up at the State Rose Garden.
The Werribee Park garden is maintained by a team of more than 100 volunteers like Sandra and Leonie who have been working every Wednesday and Saturday in recent weeks to prune the roses.
The group has also planted more than 140 new roses in preparation for the State Rose and Garden Show on November 14-15.
Anyone interested in volunteering at the garden should phone Veronica O’Brien on 9742 4291 or visit www.vicstaterosegarden.com.au
