The countdown is on as AquaPulse gets ready to open its doors on Saturday.
The redeveloped indoor aquatic and leisure centre features a state-of-the-art gym, a 25-metre learn-to-swim pool, 50-metre pool, spa and warm-water exercise pools, steam and sauna room, two waterslides, an aquatic playground and a creche.
The new centre at Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing, is part of a $54.4 million redevelopment of the former Wyndham leisure and events centre.
The second part of the redevelopment is the Encore events centre, which has been given a dramatic makeover, especially to its performance stage.
Mayor Peter Maynard says the council is proud of its new complex.

“This $54.4 million facility will serve our growing community now and into the future. AquaPulse and the Encore events centre have been designed to give residents a high-quality leisure and entertainment complex that will be a source of pride for years to come,” he said.
The council is urging residents who visit during the school holidays to check the WynActive social media pages and website to find out if the centre has reached capacity before they leave home.
