Wyndham’s motor trader precinct will have the final piece of its puzzle put in place when Peter Davey Toyota and Suzuki rebrands and moves to a new $13 million site on Old Geelong Road.
After trading at Werribee Street for 10 years, the retailer – to be known as Werribee Toyota and Suzuki – will expand as it moves to its new site on April 4 and joins a range of car retailers.
The existing site on Werribee Street will continue to be used to sell cars.
The new Hoppers Crossing dealership showroom and service centre covers 10,200 square metres – three times the Werribee site.
Werribee Toyota and Suzuki dealer principal Ben Galea said moving to the new precinct would showcase what the brands had to offer and would include with “six-star facilities”.
“At our current site, we only have people coming to see us when they want to see specific cars we have on sale,” he said. “Moving to this precinct, we’ll be able to reach people shopping for a car with nothing specific in mind.”
Mr Galea said the investment in the new centre showed that while Toyota would ceasing manufacturing in Australia in 2017, Werribee Toyota remained committed to the brand.
“We will still sell all the Toyota favourites – from smaller cars, such as the Corolla and Yaris, all the way to larger vehicles such as the commercial Hilux and LandCruisers.”
The new site is at 212-216 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing.
