Back to the … ’80s at Werribee Secondary College

It was the decade of big hair, blue eyeliner and leg warmers.

Werribee Secondary College is going Back to the ’80s this week in the school’s first play in more than a decade.

Set in a school, the musical revolves around two boys fighting over a girl, set to a backing track of Wham, Michael Jackson and Kim Wilde.

Regina Mendes, the school’s director of music and performing arts, said about 50 students from across all year levels had been rehearsing since term two for the play, which opens tonight at 7pm and will run until Friday.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for five to 12 year olds.
