Williamstown Wine and Chocolate Festival

The Williamstown Wine and Chocolate Festival is a celebration pairing the best chockie delights with wines that will have devotees of both dribbling with desire. Tickets, from $20 pre-sale, may be purchased online at wineandchocolatefest.com.au 

 

Street cars of desire descend on Werribee

Where: Werribee Racecourse

When: From 8am, Sunday, May 1

Market celebrates all things Point Cook

Where: Saltwater Community Centre, 153 Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook

When: 10.30am-4.30pm, Saturday April 30

All things Point Cook will be celebrated this weekend at the Saltwater Coast Community Market. There will be 30 stalls for attendees to visit, and live music for entertainment.

Substation hosts acclaimed photographer’s work

Where: The Substation, 1 Market Street, Newport

When: Until May 31

Internationally acclaimed Berlin photographer Sven Marquardt will present his work in Australia for the first time at Newport’s Substation this month with his exhibition, titled Fotografien. 

 

New Saturday market at Plumpton

Where: 1227 Holden Road, Plumpton

When: 9am-2pm, every Saturday

Where: VU at MetroWest, 138 Nicholson Street, Footscray

When: 10am-noon, Saturday, April 30

Women Wept – the aftermath, by artists Karenne Anne, Tamara Watt and Heather Horrocks, explores the toll taken on the women left to pick up the pieces when men who went to fight in WWI perished overseas, or returned broken in body and mind.
