Life drawing

Saltwater Community Centre, 153 Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook, will be hosting life drawing classes with a new professional model every Tuesday between November 1 and 29, 7-9pm. No experience necessary; basic materials provided. $15 per class, or $60 for group of five.

007 Licence to Dance Party

Join in the fun with a DJ and mocktails for the 007 Licence to Dance Party, from 3-7pm, October 29, at the Youth Resource Centre, 86 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing.
The drug and alcohol-free event is for youths aged 15-25.
Entry is $5.

Learn to relax

Come along and learn mindfulness meditation, gentle yoga and relaxation in the Crossroads Uniting Church foyer, corner of Synnot Street and Duncans Road, Werribee, on November 1 from 7.30-8.30pm. Cost is $15 or $12 for concession. Bring a yoga mat and blanket.

Relay for Life

The Point Cook Relay for Life starts 3.30pm, November 12, and continues until 9.45am the next day at Featherbrook Oval, Whisper Boulevard, Point Cook.

National Mosque open day

The Virgin Mary Mosque will be hosting an open day on October 29 from 10am-4pm, 143a Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing. There will be a barbecue, jumping castle, face-painting, henna-designing, tours of the mosque and opportunities for Q&A with religious elders.

Refresher course for senior drivers

The next Senior Drivers Expo will be held on Saturday, November 26, from 9.45am at Hobsons Bay Council Civic Offices, 115 Civic Parade, Altona. The expo will include information about road laws, health and effects of medicines. Participants get a free and confidential driving assessment in their own car and an assessment of their car’s safety and roadworthiness. A free lunch is provided. Places are limited so booking is essential.

Craft folk show their wares

The 38th annual Werribee Craft Festival is on November 5 and 6 at Wyndham Civic Centre, 45 Princes Highway, Werribee, from 9am until 4pm both days. Free admission and parking. Enjoy children’s craft activities, roving entertainment, Devonshire teas and other tasty treats. More than 80 stalls will sell top-class crafts.
