Cambridge Primary School fete

Cambridge Primary School, Carruthers Drive, Hoppers Crossing, is holding its school fete on October 15 from 10am-3pm. The many things to enjoy will include rides, entertainment, a sausage sizzle, face-painting, stalls and showbags. Stallholders required for the event.

Fun day at the village

Come and celebrate the launch of Satterley’s new display village at Upper Point Cook, located along Nagle Drive off Hacketts Road, Point Cook, from noon-3pm, October 15. Enjoy free treats and entertainment, including face-painting, balloon artists, inflatable slides, and human statues. Also, take part in a New York City-themed scavenger hunt through the new display homes for your chance to win a $1500 or $500 visa gift card. Free tacos and burgers for the first 700 visitors.

Twilight market

Point Cook College will hold its first Twilight Market on October 14, 3-7pm, at 18-50 Ponsford Drive. The market will feature an array of stalls, community groups, a kids’ fun zone, food vendors and entertainment. Free entry.

All the fun of the fete

The annual St James the Apostle community fete will be held from 10am-4pm, Saturday, October 15, at 336 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing. Come and join in the fun of amusement rides, all your traditional stalls, a silent auction and entertainment. Free admission.

Tai chi for seniors

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese gentle physical exercise that increases flexibility, reduces stress, improves health and improves balance.

Volunteers needed

The Multiple Sclerosis Community Visitors Scheme is seeking male and female volunteers to join its visitors program in the Point Cook and Altona Meadows areas to talk to residents in aged-care centres.

The Manor Lakes neighbourhood market will run at Wyndham Vale Community and Learning Centre on October 15, from 10am until 2pm. There will be more than 30 stalls showcasing small local businesses.

Craft folk show their wares

The 38th annual Werribee Craft Festival is on November 5 and 6 at Wyndham Civic Centre, 45 Princes Highway, Werribee, from 9am until 4pm both days. Free admission and parking. Enjoy children’s craft activities, roving entertainment and Devonshire teas and other tasty treats. More than 80 stalls will sell top-class crafts.

Probus Club calling

The Combined Probus Club of Wyndham provides fun, fellowship and friendship for retired or semi-retired adults. The club meets 1.30-3pm on second Tuesday of the month at Kelly Park Community Centre, Werribee. If you like walking, dining, cycling and outings, come to a meeting.
