Riverside delight: 21 Templeton Court, Werribee, 3030

In a pretty street, within steps of Werribee River walking trails, this corner property makes a kerbside splash with its stylish gardens, while the house is an equally beautiful mix of classic and contemporary.

The decor features sandstone wall paint and soft-green carpet, while a combination of mocha roman, off-white roller and timber blinds dress windows. Everything is fresh and light.

Entry is to a tiled hallway, along which are the main bedroom, a study and a sitting room (both through bevel-paned french doors) and the first minor bedroom.

The main bedroom, with fitted walk-in robe, has a dual-basin en suite decked out in Victoriana green and cream.

The remaining two bedrooms are down a rear hallway, as are the main bathroom – decorated similarly to the smaller; a separate toilet; and laundry with two-door closet and workbench.

At entry hall’s end comes the large living hub with floating floorboards that complement the timber blinds on big windows.

The meals zone is in a wide bay, and a wood heater in the family area couples with ceiling fans and ducted heating and cooling to ensure all-season comfort.

The large kitchen is a corker. Under a bulkhead, there’s a giant island bench topped with charcoal granite – one side replete with glass-fronted display cabinet, wine racks and cupboards. Cream 2pac cabinetry with chic french provincial handles is balanced with a mid-grey glass splashback, and a 900mm cooker.

A pair of side pergolas – separated by the jut of the meals zone bay window – cover stamped concrete, which is edged with synthetic turf. A water feature centres formal box hedging and landscaping is pristine, just like every inch of this place.

A side gate allows access to a 4×4-metre workshop, and the remote-controlled double garage has internal entry to the living hub. The block is about 630 square metres.
