Like a fine wine: 24 Traminer Row, Werribee, 3030

In Vineyard estate, this is one beautifully put-together place. Spanning about 42 squares, the house shines brightly in the decor department, and outdoor areas and features pack a killer design punch.

Entry to the Porter Davis executive house is to a hallway laid with glossy pearl-grey and white diamond-pattern tiling that culminates at multi-paned french doors to the hub. Along the hall are a grey-carpeted study (through a multi-paned door) that has natural-timber plantation shutters, Most other rooms have lovely grey-taupe roman blinds and pearl-grey wall paint is all through.

Just before the expansive hub is a carpeted open lounge room. Then spotted gum floorboards are introduced in a left-ducking hallway, along which are a powder room, four fitted bedrooms and main bathroom with bowl-basin atop Caesarstone. The large, separately zoned main bedroom has a dual-basin en suite and a walk-in robe fitted out with luxury extras.

The kitchen has a Caesarstone-topped island bench, walk-in pantry and Blanco dishwasher and 900mm cooker. The laundry, with a three-door closet, is two steps from a sheltered utility area.

The alfresco area, beyond stacker doors, is a chic spot in which to entertain and relax in front of TV when the mood hits. Beneath a white Vergola, white-painted concrete flooring is stylish and lends a living room feel. A wood heater is flanked by wood nooks, while mesh blinds and ceiling fan point to comfortable summers.

A second Vergola adjoins, this one with sealed-aggregate underfoot; it has a subtle water feature and lilly pillies march along the fence.

The gardens on the 1000-square-metre block are very pretty out back, the spacious lawn soft. An automated irrigation system, front and back, is a great perk, as are the four vegie boxes and fruit trees in their own area.

Side gates allow access to a shed with the best set of doors around. Hand-fashioned in timber and wrought iron in the trendy sliding barn style, they’re an example of the cut above found everywhere here. The shed, perfect as workshop, could also be tweaked for other uses.

More? Ducted heating, evaporative cooling and remote-controlled double garage with internal access.
