Jewel for big family: 5 Camellia Court, Tarneit, 3029

What a cracker of a place this is for larger families or those wanting great space for an extended family – or for adult children not ready to fly the nest.

It has six bedrooms, two of which couple with a sitting room, kitchenette and a big bathroom (with walk-in shower) to form a separate living domain under the same roofline. This space has a split-system, separate HWS and wide doorways. There’s no clear demarcation, so the layout can cater for one big family or seamlessly allow for other options.

The terrific block of about 1470 square metres has side wrought-iron gates that allow spacious driveway access to a carport for four vehicles, beyond which is a huge shed/workshop with 15-amp power and room for four more cars. It’s the perfect set-up for a tradie or hobbyist.

The house has entry to a hallway with mushroom-grey floor tiles, the colour matching benches all through. Carpet is grey, holland blinds dress most windows and some cornices are ornate.

The hallway heads past an open carpeted lounge room then through bifolds to the tiled living hub, with the meals area wrapped with timber blind-dressed windows. Beyond is a separate carpeted rumpus room with sliding doors to a fitted study, the latter the kick-off point to the “unit” section.

The large kitchen has Tasmanian oak cabinetry, cream splashback tiles, a pantry behind bifolds doors, a wall oven, 900mm gas cooktop and a Blanco dishwasher.

The main bedroom, off the entry hall, has a walk-in robe and an en suite with timber vanity unit and large spa tub. Three more fitted bedrooms are down a rear hallway they share with the main bathroom, a powder room arrangement and a laundry with access to a side covered deck and utility area.

A huge pergola, spanning the space between main house and “unit”, has a remote-controlled projector screen and a water feature in river stones.

The spacious, private back lawn is rimmed with trees and there’s a chook house, two vegie boxes, a wood storage shed and a 13,000-litre water tank with pump.

This must-see property, with subdivision potential, also has ducted heating, evaporative cooling, ceiling fans all through, eight solar panels and a double garage.
