Bayside glam: 16 Jetty Road, Werribee South, 3030

Wyndham Harbour has grown to become a vibrant seaside enclave, with eateries popping up, a sandy and sheltered beach nearby, a popular marina and upcoming resident-only facilities.

The bold architectural lines of 16 Jetty Road – encapsulating the dynamic contemporary aesthetic taking shape around town – offers light-filled roomy indoor living, with décor hitting high notes.

Polished concrete floors all through the ground level, square-set cornices on tall ceilings, matte-black window frames and fittings, pearl-grey woollen carpet upstairs, Victorian ash timber, and light-expanding white wall paint coalesce for all-out impact.

The living space at the end of the broad entry hallway is packed with appeal. Two large sets of stacker doors to a rear deck come dressed in gorgeous full-height sheers in a whisper-grey, while the dining zone – marked by two stunning pendants – can easily take a 12-seat table.

The chevron splashback tiles draw the eye in the shmick kitchen, with warm-white stone tops, soft-close cabinetry in a charcoal shade, window splashbacks that draw the light, matte-black

tapware (these are throughout) and all mod-cons are on board. The neighbouring walk-through pantry also has stone benches, as does the stylish laundry adjacent.

An open study and a luxe powder room are also on the ground level.

At the head of timber stairs, a large living room is surrounded by the four bedrooms (with individual climate control), another swish powder room, and an indulgence-ready bathroom. This has a walk-in shower and an oval freestanding tub perched beneath black plantation shutters.

The expansive main bedroom has picture windows capturing market garden and Brisbane Ranges vistas. The windows, as in other rooms, are sheltered by snazzy blinds that rotate stripes of blockout and sheer, giving great control of light levels.

Beautiful terrazzo on the en suite’s floor ups the glam factor, enhancing the dual-basin vanity and walk-in shower.

Out back, the deck (with power and plumbing) meets synthetic turf that wraps around to side, joining a concrete car-wash bay behind the drive-through double garage. Pittosporums line the fence and that’s it for maintenance. Too much time to spend at the beach or at Ramae’s Café around the corner for that…
