A south-side spread: 14 Melrose Place, Werribee, 3030

On the popular south side of town, this well-presented abode on about 635 square metres is destined for a family looking for inside space to spread out as well as enjoy hang-together times in large rooms.

The location is family friendly, with Corpus Christi Primary School and MacKillop College and Werribee Secondary College, the train station, Princes Freeway entry and Watton Street specialty shops and eateries all within five minutes or less by car.

14 Melrose Place, Werribee, 3030

Making its debut appearance on the market, the house has entry to a generous foyer, to the left of which – through double doors – is a carpeted lounge-dining room with crossover sheers at windows. A second set of double doors opens to the family-meals and kitchen zones where soft-green and white chequerboard flooring defines an oft-repeated colour palette.

The U-shaped kitchen has plenty of storage, a breakfast bench for four, wall oven, gas cooktop and dishwasher. The meals zone takes in pretty fernery views and the laundry with closet abuts a powder room. A study, through double doors off the entry foyer, could easily serve as fourth bedroom, and there are three big bedrooms upstairs.

The main has a walk-in wardrobe and an en suite, while the main bathroom has the soft-green and white colour scheme; the toilet is separate.

A carpeted living room up here has doors to the front-facing balcony.

Indoor features include ducted heating, air-conditioning, alarm system and ducted vacuum.

The family-meals area opens to a full-width, covered alfresco area anchored by paving that wraps around to the side and forms patio/parking space behind the drive-through double garage.

At one end of the alfresco area is a fenced-off spa that’s under shelter and partially enclosed by lattice work.

The backyard has a good wedge of lawn and attractive landscaping; a garden shed is tucked away in a corner.
