November 26, 1975

The developer of the proposed shopping centre at Hoppers Crossing, rejected by the Town Planning Appeals Tribunal recently, told the Banner he had a dossier on all councillors and he would win out in the end. He said he had taken on and beaten other councils and would eventually win against Werribee council.

November 20, 1985

A proposed toxicology centre for Werribee could be physically attacked by animal liberationists, according to RSPCA president Hugh Wirth. He said he had no doubt animal liberationists would condemn the centre and demonstrate against it.

November 22, 1995

A group of Werribee and Hoppers Crossing students cheated death when their school mini-bus collided with a truck at the intersection of Tarneit and Dohertys roads in Truganina on Monday. The bus, operated by Seventh Day Adventist Gilsons College in Sydenham, was travelling its normal route about 8.40am when it crashed.
