November 5, 1975

Demands for a bridge to replace the Cottrell Street ford are mounting following the tragic drowning of a young Werribee boy last Wednesday. However, estimates of such a bridge have been placed as high as $700,000 which council would have to bear alone.

Werribee Football Club will fight the Victorian State Football League decision to expel the Tigers from its state-wide competition next year. The club has urged Wyndham residents to attend a rally at Chirnside Park on Friday night in a bid to convince the VSFL to reverse its decision.
