September 11, 1974

Solicitors for a resident of Don Avenue, Werribee have threatened legal action unless Werribee Shire Council takes steps to provide a remedy to his sinking house. It is claimed that council’s officers and/or council has been negligent in carrying out its duties.

September 12, 1984

This weekend, more than 6000 Hoppers Crossing residents will receive their first information on the new Neighbourhood Watch program planned for the area. Members of local service clubs will knock on every door in two Neighbourhood Watch areas with invitations to a public meeting to be held on September 25. The two zones at Hoppers Crossing will be on each side of Heaths Road.

20 years ago

September 7, 1994

It will be at least another six months before the Werribee VFA Football Club starts to make an impact on its overdue $29,000 debt to the Werribee council. The City of Werribee’s finance and administration director Dave Walker said last week that a deal had been struck between the council and the football club.
