Tarneit doctors are putting their razors away for the next month to encourage men to take their health more seriously.
Derrimut Road Health Clinic doctors including Ruthra Nagendran, Gefulio Lumbes and Maghu Ramacharan are taking part in Movember, a 30-day challenge to grow a moustache and raise money for men’s health groups.
“As a GP, I have been able to detect and help men with prostate and testicular cancer,’’ Dr Nagendran said.
‘‘For some, detection was easy. Unfortunately, many other men didn’t come soon enough.”
