Foodie’s delight at Werribee’s Urban Diner precinct

This is your first look at the new Urban Diner precinct at Pacific Werribee.

The precinct, that will officially open on June 25, will feature 15 restaurants: Pancake Parlour, La Porchetta, Sporting Globe, Makan Place, Feeling Fruity, San Churro, Groove Train, Guzman Y Gomez, Grill’d, Dumpling Story, Schnitz, Ba’get, Rice Workshop, Spud Bar and Nandos.

Sporting Globe will feature a seven-metre TV screen and rooftop deck.

Pacific Werribee will host a four-day Festival of Foodies from June 25 to 28 to celebrate the launch, which will include tasting carts from the new restaurants, roving entertainment, acoustic sessions, competitions and kids’ baking activities.

Pacific Werribee centre manager Jonathan Codman said Urban Diner would bring a host of restaurants to the west for the first time.

He said the centre had received an “overwhelmingly positive” response to stage one of its landmark $370 million redevelopment.

“Residents will experience unprecedented access to an array of cuisines under the one roof, plus a broader entertainment offer, with the addition of Village Cinemas gold class, The Plaza Tavern and The Sporting Globe – streaming live sporting events from across the globe,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to see local residents enjoying the new Village Cinemas gold class. It’s filling up very quickly, with evening screenings most popular throughout the week and weekends.”

Mr Codman said customers could expect to enjoy stage two, which includes a new Target store and 50 specialty stores, in coming months.

There will be a new two-level Myer, 50 more specialty stores and fresh food revamp to be unveiled in 2016.
