Werribee Shire president Cr Neville Hudson has assured the Banner that immunisation campaigns will continue as in previous years, with the only alteration being the manner of financing the operation.

A delay in obtaining a permit from the Defence Department is preventing a Western Suburbs group from starting work on an international-class shooting complex off Ballan Rd. While the group waits for over-shooting rights from the department, it is holding a $40,000 overdraft which it cannot start to pay off until the centre opens.

Wyndham is the second-fastest growing area in Victoria – and Australia’s 14th most prosperous municipality. A study by Price Waterhouse, MapInfo and Business Review Weekly, released this month looked at Australia’s 1300 localities and identified the top 50.

Wyndham residents are set to benefit from $6.3 million of bus improvements – including two new routes – that will be implemented across four years. Announcing the upgrade, Transport minister Peter Batchelor said it would provide better links between suburbs, shopping areas and railway stations
