Werribee City captain Milan Savic was the only player from his promotion-securing club to finish in the top 10 of the Football Federation Victoria men’s state league 1 best-and-fairest count.
He received 15 votes, nine behind the winner Ken Athiu from Box Hill United.
In men’s state league 5, Point Cook goal machine Joe Spiteri was a runaway winner with 28 votes.
Spiteri, a former Socceroo, finished second in the golden boot with 27 goals.
