Faye Lockwood-Rourke and daughter Mackenzie (pictured) are putting the final touches to their first Point Cook Relay for Life fund-raising effort.
As part of Relay for Life team SMEE Club, the duo will take to the stage at the Wyndham Cultural Centre on October 19 to perform in the play, Nunsense.
Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Cancer Council. Tickets are available by calling 8734 6000. The second annual Point Cook Relay for Life will be held at Featherbrook Oval on November 16.
Last year’s event raised close to $40,000. Ms Lockwood-Rourke, a committee member, said she hoped the suburb could double its fund-raising efforts this year.
