Celebrate your pet at Wyndham council’s pet and animal expo at the civic centre, Princes Highway, Werribee, from 10am-3pm on September 27. The annual event includes stage shows from Wild Action’s Chris Humfrey, dog obedience displays, pony rides and face-painting.

Join award-winning author Alice Pung for a Q&A session and book signing at Point Cook library, 1-21 Cheetham Street, from 6pm on August 28. Wyndham’s Over 50s Club will hold its annual meeting at Iramoo Community Centre, Honour Avenue, Wyndham Vale, from 1.30pm on August 24.

High tea

Join Wyndham Rotary Club for an afternoon high tea on September 13 to raise money for breast cancer research. The event includes a guest speaker, entertainment and a silent auction. It’s at Derrimut Heath Primary School, 35 Sycamore Street, Hoppers Crossing, from 2-4pm.

Run with the pack

Western Athletics is seeking past members to celebrate its 20th birthday. The club was established in 1995 when Footscray, Sunshine and Werribee athletic clubs merged. A dinner will be held at Werribee Italian Social Club on September 12.
