Little River burn-offs

Controlled burns will take place at open spaces and reserves in Little River this month. Wyndham council and a contractor will be conducting burns in five areas at You Yangs Reserve and two areas at Malcolm Williams Reserve. Weather permitting, they are expected to finish by the end of April. Residents living in affected areas should avoid burn sites wherever possible. If smoke is lingering in the air, the council recommends shutting windows and turning off air-conditioners. For more information, phone the council’s Craig Dodson on 8734 2711.
