POINT Cook residents have taken their frustrations to the streets, sticking flyers on windscreens at crowded Laverton railway station.
Residents are being urged to attend the new Point Cook Action Group’s “meet-and-greet” at Gypsy Road Tapas Bar in Main Street from 7pm this Friday.
The flyer, prepared by Nick Michaelides, paints a picture of his nightmare morning commute caused by choked roads and poor public transport.
He wakes at 5.50am and leaves Sanctuary Lakes at 7am before embarking on a 30-minute drive to Laverton station, where he struggles to find a car park.
Group chairman Bernard Reilly (pictured) says the event is open to anyone who wants to have a say on how Point Cook should grow.
He expects the Growth Areas Authority’s plan for a new suburb in Point Cook’s west to be among issues discussed.
“The advancement and recognition this group has received has been a real surprise,” he said.
