TAC Cup: Western Jets set for season

A LONG pre-season is over, practice matches were run and won, and the annual fitness testing day has passed by, it’s now time for the curtain to raise on a new elite under-18 TAC Cup season.

The Western Jets, under coach Steven Kretiuk, will open their campaign against Sandringham Dragons at Visy Park on Sunday.

There are massive expectations of the team after it earned back the on-field respect of the competition last season.

Hoppers Crossing product Ashlin Brown has been appointed skipper and will be joined in the side by clubmates Mitchell Appleby, Thomas Jehle and Nicholas Jones.

Werribee Districts will hope Harrison King and Harley Armstrong-Weston play a major part in the direction of the Jets this season.
