A 14-YEAR-old Norlane boy was caught behind the wheel of a car in Wyndham Vale early this morning, while a 47-year-old Geelong man occupied the passenger’s seat.
Two other boys, aged 14 and 15 from Norlane and Corio, were caught nearby fleeing on foot after police found the stationary car on Ison Road in Wyndham Vale about 4.30am.
Detectives from the Wyndham crime investigation unit interviewed all four over a string of thefts from motor vehicles this morning.
Wyndham’s Detective Senior Constable Alan Hill said the pair caught on foot had been in the car before police arrived.
He said the juveniles had been released on summons while police continued questioning the Geelong man.
