Packages of promise at Lumen Christi

THE saying ‘from little things big things grow’ has inspired nearly 90 grade 6 pupils at Point Cook’s Lumen Christi Primary School.

Students like Isobel (pictured front), Megnot and Petria are raising money for charities like St Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army so they can send care packages to communities in need around the world, as well as hampers to Australian troops serving overseas.

Isobel hopes the idea will prompt more community goodwill.  “Hopefully, other people will start listening and see that they can do the same thing, and it can grow really big so more people can be happy around Christmas time.”

Donations: 9395 2555.
