Festive cheer for Point Cook troops

AIR force cadets in Point Cook are doing their bit to help troops serving overseas. The cadets from 404 Squadron (pictured with commanding officer Flight Lieutenant Chris Sell) are putting together care packages to show their appreciation of defence members who are serving their country.

The packs will be sent to troops in time for Christmas. Cadets have been busy sourcing items from local businesses and are urging the community to back the cause. Items which can be donated include lollies, biscuits, teabags, shower gel, disposable razors and roll-on deodorants, books, newspapers, magazines, beanies and gloves.

Prohibited items include clothing, chocolate, alcohol and cigarettes. Donations will be accepted until Friday.
