Western suburbs illusionist Michael Boyd is taking his latest mind-boggling show to Crown on Saturday. Combining illusion, levitation, transformation and disappearances, Mystique features a troupe of showgirls, jaw-dropping escapes, special effects and spellbinding acts of magic. Boyd (pictured, casting his spell) has travelled the world with his show and regularly appears in Las Vegas, where he works with the team behind David Copperfield’s shows. “Mystique is a child’s dream that comes to life with many twists and turns,” he said. “I’ve performed all over the world, but rarely in my own backyard. I’m really looking forward to mesmerising Melbourne.” Tickets: 132 849 or ticketek.com.au
