Handy new clinic a tonic for Truganina

Adequate medical services can be a concern for those living in new outer-suburban areas, but residents of Forsyth Park community in Truganina will be relieved a medical centre is on its way.

Announced by developer ISPT, the medical practice will be owned and operated by two local doctors who between them have more than 30 years’ experience in the City of Wyndham.

The future Forsyth Park Medical Centre will face Forsyth Road – off Sayers Road – and have more than 1000 square metres of internal space.

The clinic will have eight consulting rooms for general practitioners and a pharmacy and medical suites for future specialist providers.

These include a psychologist, audiologist, radiologist, dentist, pathologist, podiatrist and physiotherapist.

Sonny Lumbes, co-director and spokesman for the planned medical centre, said the service would bring ease and convenience to the residents of the developing area. “Our main priority is to make medical services easily accessible for the whole community. Many of our patients are elderly or incapacitated due to illness or injury, so to have to send them away to a different location for specialised services simply isn’t a viable option.

“We wanted to provide a range of essential medical services under one roof so our patients and indeed the whole community can benefit.”

ISPT development manager Sean Hogan said the future medical centre was a great initiative and would be a boon for Truganina.

“When Sonny and his business partner Sione [Sisifa] approached us last year with their concept for a multi-purpose medical centre at Forsyth Park we wanted to work with them to ensure their vision would become a reality,” Mr Hogan said.
