Seabrook Primary School’s sweet success

SEABROOK Primary School pupil Suhani (pictured centre, with Chloe, Abbey, Prisha and Breann) hasn’t let her age stop her from becoming an internationally-published author.

The grade 3 pupil’s picture book, Lollipop Land, was recently published in India.

The book is the story of three friends – Raspy Rabbit, Pony Pavlova and Guinea Pig – who encounter a few problems on an adventure to Lollipop Land.

Suhani says the story took her a couple of weeks to write. “I enjoy writing. It uses my imagination and it makes me happy to think other people will read my story.”

Suhani’s parents sent the story to a publisher in India and an illustrator was hired to bring the story to life.

Suhani says her friends initially didn’t believe she had written a book, but now think it’s fantastic that she is a published author.
